Evening rumbled in after a short rainstorm and our hunger grew as we lingered around crumbling corners. While we observed the bustle of evening action, a caravan with security and several people with suits seemed to pop out from different buildings including down the street from the Stikliai Hotel, in front of an art museum, and another restaurant/hotel (something like Kavine Restaurant maybe?)…we saw lots of press at two different locations and many police on segways, motorbikes, and in cars. After some research, some of the commotion could have been due to the fact that international women dignitaries were in Vilnius today for the conference “Women Enhancing Democracies: Best Practices.”…However I only saw one woman leave quickly into a highly guarded car and ironically many men stood stiffly around in dark suits..Here are some shots..
